Watch live: White House holds press briefing

The White House is scheduled to hold its daily press briefing at 1:45 p.m. Monday.

The briefing is likely to be dominated by questions about Hurricane Milton, which on Monday was upgraded to Category 5 status as it heads toward Florida, and the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.

President Biden, who made a surprise appearance at the daily briefing on Friday, has already declared an emergency in Florida ahead of Milton's arrival.
