Arthur Slye – deceased
We have learned of the passing of Arthur Syle.
Arthur played for old Wesley in 60s, 70s and 80s, himself and the late Derek McCullagh started the Marrieds vs Singles matches that used to gather the Old Wesley family together on St. Stephen’s Day to work off the Christmas dinner and partake of a few post match refreshments!
He was an active supporter after he finished playing, joining many of the bus trips for the away AIL matches in the 90s and 00s – until his health prevented him. Arthur was heavily involved in Malahide Yacht Club – with donations going to the RNLI.
Condolences to his wife Miriam and daughters Cathy, Tara and Naomi. He was predeceased by his son Arthur.
