A night of Queen

Three nights of entertainment are coming up as tribute band The Bohemians are bringing their iconic show to Cyprus. Considered to be one of the best European Queen tribute bands to perform live on stage – paying homage of course to the legendary band Queen – the tribute act returns to the island for a live music Queen-themed party.

On Sunday, they will take over the Strovolos Municipal Theatre, Nicosia, before performing live at Patticheio Municipal Theatre in Limassol on October 14 and finally at Markideio Municipal Theatre, Paphos the following evening.

For almost two hours, the four musicians from Great Britain will take the audience on a musical journey through time celebrating the iconic music band.

“By the second song at the latest, singer Rob Comber, alias Freddie Mercury, has captured the audience completely,” say organisers. “From then on, old and young enjoy the spectacular show side by side, not missing any of the immortal Queen hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, A Kind Of Magic, Don’t Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You or Radio Ga Ga.”

Performing live and bringing Queen’s tuneful energy to the stage, The Bohemians also offer a visual treat as they are virtually indistinguishable from their idols. “Comber’s personality and stage presence make him the perfect Freddie Mercury and Christopher Gregory not only looks amazingly like Brian May, but he also plays the guitar like his idol,” organisers add.

And they are not the only ones who find the tribute act to be worthwhile. May himself has been quoted saying: “Thank you guys, brilliant” after watching the show while Lesley Ann Jones, Freddie Mercury and Queen’s biographer described it as “the best you are going to see or hear ever.”
