I stopped spending £40 at the nail salon every three weeks after a £1.50 Poundland bargain changed my life

IF you’re a beauty buff like we are, then you’ll know that visits to the nail shop can quickly rack up, with most of us spending around £40 to £50 a month on our manis.

But as cash-strapped Brits are looking for ways to slash their costs where possible, one woman has revealed she keeps her hands looking chic for under £2.

This is because instead of forking out a fortune for the latest trends at the nail shop, Holly Wells, from Knighton, Wales, swears by an affordable bargain from the high street.

Taking to Poundland Appreciation Society on Facebook, the Welsh lass explained that she could no longer afford the expensive visits to the nail salon where she’d spend a little under £50.

”I can’t afford £40 every 3 weeks to get my acrylic nails done anymore.

”Went to Poundland and found these beauties for only £1.50,” the beauty lover was raving over the purse-friendly buy in the post.

Holly, who was now saving a staggering £38.50 with the affordable find, also proudly showed off her new gorgeous nude press-on nails with a pink French tip-inspired design and a glossy finish.

What’s more, she went on to note, not only did the fake nails look fabulous, the quality also didn’t match the low price.

”I’ve had them on for a few days and they are going strong.

‘I’m very pleased,” Holly added, serving as proof there’s no need to waste hundreds every year on a stunning manicure.

Not one to gatekeep, the Welsh beauty fanatic added that these nails are also allegedly ”much less damaging than having acrylics”.

To remove them, Holly followed a YouTube tutorial and soaked her fingers ”in a mix of warm water, Fairy liquid and olive oil”.

”Then you can pop them off with a stick.”

Although some warned that the glue that came with the set was ”crap”, Holly claimed she had no issues with it.

”They are still solid!”

Holly’s post has clearly impressed many, as since sharing her top buy it’s racked up over 100 likes and dozens of comments.
