50 senior doctors of RG Kar hospital resign in solidarity with medics on fast; peers mull following suit

Around 50 senior doctors at RG Kar Medical College resigned in solidarity with junior doctors who have been fasting for justice for a deceased woman doctor. The Joint Platform of Doctors in West Bengal pledged support for campus democracy and a patient-friendly system. They criticized the corruption-ridden healthcare system and lack of response from the authorities.
