Albany man pleads guilty to sex abuse images
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that an Albany man has pleaded guilty to a six-count indictment. Stephen Brisee, also known as Sage Brisee, 30, admitted to receiving, possessing and distributing images and videos depicting adults sexually abusing girls as young as infants.
In June 2023, Brisee, a registered sex offender, was arrested for distributing child sex abuse images. He was then indicted in May 2024 for allegedly receiving and distributing videos of adults subjecting girls between the ages of six months and 10 years to sexual penetration.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a search of Brisee’s phone revealed Brisee to have a collection of other images. Brisee faces 15 to 40 years in prison, as well as a fine of up to $250,000 and mandatory restitution to victims of the offenses.
Brisee will also be required to continue to register as a sex offender. He also faces a post-release supervision term of five years.
Sentencing is scheduled for February 7, 2025. Homeland Security Investigations investigated the case, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Reiner is prosecuting as a part of Project Safe Childhood.
