Saratoga County Deputies mourn the loss of K-9 Jagger

SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Sheriff Michael Zurlo of the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office announced the passing of retired K-9 Jagger on Monday. Jagger was a 9-year-old German Shepherd.

Jagger served with Deputy Nic Denno from 2015 to 2019, specializing in patrol tracking and narcotics detection. According to the sheriff's office, the K-9 was enjoying retirement with Deputy Denno when he suffered a medical event at home on Monday.

Jagger unfortunately passed away after being moved to Upstate Veterinary Specialties in Latham. The sheriff's office asks that everyone keeps the Denno family, all the sheriff's office's K-9s, and their handlers in their thoughts and prayers.
