One dead after I-270 crash

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead and a second hospitalized after a crash on Interstate 270 Tuesday night.

According to a Columbus police dispatcher, the crash happened at approximately 9:58 p.m. on the southbound side of I-270 south of the State Route 16/Broad Street exit.

All lanes of I-270 South are closed at the SR-16/Broad Street exit.

One person was pronounced dead at Mount Carmel East hospital at 10:38 p.m. The second person was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
