He ended the tune with a caveat to fans, telling them: “That’s why I decided to never be a singer!”
He continued: “I’m now at an age that when you say how old you are, people clap, and that’s depressing.
“However, I’m alive and healthy and happy and thank you everyone for your kind messages. Take care. Till next year, bye bye.”
He captioned the clip: “Happy Birthday to me! Thank you for all of your kind messages. Love, Simon.”
His followes had fun in the comments section and one said: “Unfortunately, it’s a No from me.”
“You’re iconic,” another raved.
Meanwhile, his fellow America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum wrote: “Happy, Happy Birthday Simon. Love you with all my heart”,’ his”.
And Howie Mandel said: “Happy Birthday. I bought you something so amazing I kept it for myself.”
Simon will return to the UK later this month for the first round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions.
He has signed up KSI, 31, as a judge for its first round of auditions in Blackpool and show chiefs will be hoping he’ll open up the programme to his huge social media following.
Last month The Sun revealed that Bruno’s place on the panel was saved.
But Simon will fork out thousands to have the popular 68-year-old Italian flown back and forth.
A source said: “When Bruno joined BGT last year, he breathed new life into the show. Simon loved how unpredictable he was and thought he made great TV. From the ratings, it’s clear the viewers agreed too.
“When plans were drawn up to revamp BGT for 2025, it was quickly flagged to Simon and the producers that Bruno is already committed to Dancing With The Stars.
“Simon managed to find a way to make it work. It means while a stand-in judge may be needed once or twice, Bruno remains on the show.
“Flying back and forth isn’t ideal for him but he loves both shows and is committed to them.”
