Bengal government to hold meeting with West Bengal Junior Doctor's Front

After a week-long deadlock, the West Bengal government is currently in talks with representatives of the West Bengal Junior Doctor's Front (WBJDF) as junior doctors' fast-unto-death enters the fourth day. Nine protestors were detained for demonstrating in a Durga Puja pandal. Senior doctors have submitted mass resignations to support the junior doctors. Tensions rose as police obstructed the junior doctors' awareness march during Durga Puja celebrations.
