By ADAM ZAGORIA

As Dan Hurley attempts to put together a blockbuster recruiting class for 2025, he and his staff are extending their reach internationally.

UConn hosted Australian guard Jacob Furphy — no relation to former Kansas and current Indiana Pacers guard Jonny Furphy — over the weekend. Jacob Furphy also visited Illinois

The 6-foot-4, 18-year-old left-hander plays for NBA Global Academy and is known as a strong shooter and facilitator. He averaged 16.8 points, 4.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds as Australia won the FIBA U18 Asia Cup last month. He shot 13-of-28 from deep during the event.

UConn is also heavily involved for several elite prospects, including Acaden Lewis, Niko Bundalo, Braylon Mullins, Eric Reibe and Meleek Thomas after landing combo guard Darius Adams.
