NEW YORK (PIX11) – A 5-year-old boy and a 56-year-old woman were home during an armed robbery in Harlem Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.

Two males knocked on the door of a home near Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 117th Street around 1 a.m. Wednesday, police said. They forced their way inside and flashed their guns, police said.

The two men took jewelry, electronics, money and a safe, then ran away. The victims, a 5-year-old boy and a 56-year-old woman, were inside at the time of the home invasion, but were not injured.

Both were taken to an area hospital.

Police are now searching for the suspected robbers, who they say are two men in their mid-20s or early 30s last seen wearing all-black attire with black masks.
