4 robbers with belts steal beer from NYC bodega: NYPD
CHELSEA, Manhattan (PIX11) --- Four robbers with belts stole beer from a Manhattan bodega early Wednesday morning, police said.
The suspects swung their belts inside the Alaska Food Market at 108 Ninth Ave. near 17th Street in Chelsea at around 2 a.m., according to the NYPD. The thieves then grabbed some before running out of the store.
There were no customers or workers injured in the incident.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The crime happened in the neighborhood patrolled by the 10th Precinct, where robberies have dipped by more than 21% this year compared to 2023, accoridng to NYPD data.
