IAS Tina Dabi enters Spa centre by force, gets shocked by what’s happening inside

New Delhi: Tina Dabi on Wednesday conducted a raid in a Spa center in Rajasthan’s Barmer. The raid took place during a cleanliness drive under the “Navo Barmer Campaign.” According to the reports, four young women and two men were detained from the spa centre. The locals have alleged that the police are in hand glove with the spa owners and the illegal activities have been taking place under the guise of spa services for quite some time. Reports further added that the people at the spa tried to flee after seeing Collector Tina Dabi, this aroused Dabi’s suspicion, leading to the successful execution of the operation.

Dabi has been leading the ‘Navo Barmer’ campaign in Barmer city. As part of campaign, a cleanliness drive was being conducted from Chauhtan Chowk to Chamunda Chowk on National Highway 68. Dabi herself participated in the campaign.

Upon reaching the spa center at Chamunda Chowk, the spa center’s owner abruptly shut the door and tried to flee, raising the collector’s suspicion. She immediately instructed the Additional District Collector, SDM, and UIT Secretary to break open the door and conduct a search inside.

Inside the spa centre, four young women and two young men were found. They were taken into custody later. Locals have alleged that illegal activities have been taking place in spa centers across the city for a long time with the collusion of the police.

People have protested multiple times, demanding the closure of these spa centers. It is alleged that with the police’s support, unethical activities are being carried out in spa centers across the city under the guise of massages.
