CCS clears proposal to make nuclear-powered attack submarines locally

The Indian government has cleared ₹35,000 crore to build nuclear submarines and approved a ₹34,500 crore deal for long-range drones from the US. The submarines will be indigenously designed, and the drones will help armed forces. The project aims to enhance India’s naval capabilities and includes a collaboration with General Atomics to set up a maintenance hub.
