Vancouver 'suspicious death' being investigated as a homicide, deputies say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The death of a woman in the Lakeshore area of Vancouver, Washington is being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.

In a release, the Clark County Sheriff's Office described a medical call they responded to on Tuesday night as a "suspicious death," which law enforcement is now investigating as a homicide.

At 9:41 p.m., the sheriff's office and the Clark County Fire District 6 were called to a residence near Northwest 26th and 99th Street on reports of an unresponsive woman.

First responders found a dead woman inside the home.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene, where they investigated the home overnight and into the morning, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing and more information may be shared at a later time, the sheriff's office said.
