Ratan Tata's help ensured success for maiden Indian civilian expedition on Mount Everest

In 1997, a team of young mountaineers from Maharashtra abandoned their initial Everest expedition due to lack of resources. Upon securing financial backing from Tata Group, they succeeded, utilizing the North Route via Tibet. Despite their achievements, they never met Ratan Tata personally.
