Middle school application timeline pushed back due to technical difficulties
NEW YORK (PIX11) – If you experienced issues with the middle school admission application on Wednesday, you’re not alone.
New York City Public Schools have moved the application date for middle schools to the week of Oct. 15, following technical difficulties on Wednesday.
According to a social media post from NYC Public Schools, many parents and guardians reported issues with the Middle School Application Portal on the MySchools website.
As a result of the application date being pushed back, the closing date will also be updated accordingly.
Families are advised to check the NYC Public Schools enrollment page on Oct. 15 for an updated middle school admissions timeline.
Prior to the delay, middle school admissions were expected to start on Oct. 9 with applications to close on Dec. 13.
