Linny set for 50th Bay appearance
CRAIG LINDFIEL:D is set to chalk up his 50th appearance for the Seagulls when they travel to Guilsfield on Saturday.
Linny, voted Bay’s Player of the Month for September and the team’s leading scorer this season with 8 goals, originally signed in January 2022 from Runcorn Linnets, making his debut against Llangenfi Town and scoring his first goal in a 5-1 win over Penrhyncoch.
Since then he has taken his goals tally to 18 in 49 appearances for the club.
After being in the promotion winning side of 2022/23, he spent last season away from the Bay at Airbus Uk Broughton, but has returned this term and has played a part in all 12 cup and league fixtures so far.
Guilsfield are currently 11th in the table with just three wins from their nine league outings and last weekend’s 5-3 defeat at Caersws was their third loss in a row.
Seagulls boss Mike Wilde, however, warns: “There are no easy games in this league which makes it so competitive and we’ve got to be on our metal every single game.”
Saturday will no different as Bay look to retain second place in the table.
