Marilyn Manson sex abuse investigation turns up ‘new leads, additional evidence,’ DA says

New evidence has come to light in the ongoing investigation into Marilyn Manson, the shock rocker who has been accused of sexual abuse, rape and torture by a slew of women, including “Westworld” actress Evan Rachel Wood and “Game of Thrones” actress Esmé Bianco.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón on Wednesday revealed prosecutors with the sex crimes division are “carefully reviewing new leads and additional evidence” uncovered during the investigation into Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner.

New evidence has emerged within the last few weeks, adding to an already extensive case file presented to our office by the [L.A. County Sheriff’s Department],” Gascón said in a statement. “It is our office’s responsibility to ensure that we have a complete picture of the admissible evidence available before making a filing decision.”

While Gascón did not provide further details, he noted that he and his senior staffers have met with the accusers and that “our prosecutors continue to remain in contact with the victims and their representatives throughout this process.”

In September 2022, the sheriff’s department handed over its 19-month sexual abuse investigation for Gascón to make a decision on whether to bring charges against Manson. In his statement this week, Gascón said his office anticipates “making a filing decision soon and will provide an update when that time comes.”

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department confirmed in February 2021 it was “investigating allegation(s) of domestic violence involving” Manson, specifically incidents spanning from 2009 to 2011, when the rocker lived in West Hollywood. Around the same time, Wood claimed Manson, her ex-fiancé, started “grooming” her as a teenager and “horrifically abused” her “for years.”

Esmé Bianco — who played Ros on 14 episodes of “Game of Thrones” — sued Manson a few months later. In a lawsuit filed in April 2021, she accused the performer of of using “drugs, force, and threats of force to coerce sexual acts from Ms. Bianco on multiple occasions.” She further alleged that Mason raped her in May 2011.

The lawsuit was settled in 2023, though no details were providing regarding the settlement.

Manson’s former personal assistant, Ashley Walters, also accused of him sexual abuse. Her case is set to go to trial in 2025.
