Christina Hall Might Not Be Able To Sell Her Tennessee Home if Josh Hall Has His Way

Christina Hall is sad to be putting her $4.5 million Tennessee home on the market as her divorce from Josh Hall moves forward. Her estranged husband has been living there on and offf since their split, but he’s now crying foul about the pending sale.

Josh has filed a temporary emergency order to prevent the sale of the residence, according to court papers obtained by the Daily Mail. He is reportedly upset that he’s “suffering prejudice” because his living expenses have increased greatly after he had to relocate to a new home. He believes he should have been consulted ahead of the sale because “the community maintains an appreciation interest due to the pay down of the mortgage during the marriage.” With no prenuptial agreement in place, it sounds like Josh is looking for a slice of the sale revenue.

“A premature sale may result in prejudice to me as property values continue to rise in Tennessee, which continues to grow in population,” he claimed in the legal documents. Josh wanted to settle all of their legal issues through a “global settlement offer” instead of multiple lawsuits, but Christina went ahead and put the estate on the market — and he’s not pleased that he learned about the news on social media. Their divorce isn’t settled, so the house should remain in her hands until everything is squared away.

Christina has been shading her ex on her Instagram Story, making sure her followers know exactly how she feels about Josh. “I guess ‘Leiper’s Fork’ is gonna have to come off the bio soon,” she wrote on Thursday, Oct. 3, referring to Josh tagging the Tennessee location on his social media account. “Time to go back to reality soon… Remember when you said you would never steal from me, or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog? I guess plans changed ????.”

Josh indicated in his filing that he’s going to fight for what he believes is his deserved share. “She is enjoying our community residence,’ he added. ‘She is in control of our entire marital estate. She has cut me out of our businesses post-separation, impacting my earnings,” he wrote. “Christina has continued to maintain the marital status quo while I have endured significant changes, to my detriment.” Josh was supposed to take part in the HGTV show, The Flip Off, with Christina, her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, but he was axed from the series once the divorce was announced.

California is a community property state and Josh may have some leverage for the three years they were married. It’s going to be quite the fight now that he is asking for more out of their Tennessee property, not just the Newport Beach house they own together.
