Who leads the Texas-Oklahoma Red River Rivalry series?

No. 1 Texas and Oklahoma are set to face off Saturday in the latest edition of the Red River Rivalry, and the Longhorns are 14.5-point favorites, per BetMGM, to win at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The two teams — both of which are playing their first seasons in the SEC after exiting the Big 12 — first played each other in 1900, and Saturday’s game will be the 119th time they’ve met on the gridiron.

Going into the 2024 Red River Rivalry game, Texas leads the series with a 63-51-5 overall record, but, including the 2000 season, Oklahoma has a 17-8 advantage.

Most recently, the Sooners won the thrilling 2023 contest where the Sooners’ last-second touchdown delivered the victory. It helped to make up for Texas’ 49-0 win in 2022, which marked the Longhorns’ largest margin of victory in the rivalry’s history — though Oklahoma has the series’ overall largest margin with a 65-13 win in 2003.

Texas and Oklahoma are set to kick off Saturday, October 12 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
