Showing at WatchTime New York 2024: Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral

Now less than a week away, WatchTime New York 2024 is soon set to touch down atManhattan’s Gotham Hall from October 18 to 20. Carl F. Bucherer will once again be joining the incredible group of watchmakers at this year’s show, with the esteemed brand set to showcase its latest update to its Manero Peripheral line. Working to bridge the gap between traditional, fine Swiss watchmaking with modern design preferences, the series serves as the brand’s flagship. The latest edition expands this work, now being equipped with a deep blue dial.

Like previous editions before it, the new Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral is housed in a 40.6mm stainless steel case with a blend of polished and satin-brushed finishes. The subtle interplay of these textures adds depth and refinement to the design, while the 11.2mm thickness ensures a sleek profile on the wrist. The case design embodies the classic elegance that the Manero collection is known for, while the tapered lugs and thin bezel contribute to the overall sophisticated aesthetic. Completing the look, the watch is secured to the wrist via either a matching hybrid leather-rubber strap in blue or on a triple-link steel bracelet.

Understated but plenty memorable, the Manero Peripheral’s dial follows the case in its aesthetic ability. Set against a deep blue stamped opaline background, rhodium-plated applied hour markers are completed by a pair of contemporary dauphine hands. The clean and symmetrical design is complemented with a subtle date window at the 3 o’clock position.

At the heart of the Manero Peripheral is the caliber CFB A2050. Unlike traditional automatic movements where the rotor covers part of the movement, the CFB A2050 opts for a peripheral rotor which is mounted around the edge of the movement, allowing for an unobstructed view of the finely finished mechanics. The movement features a 55-hour power reserve and is primarily decorated with Côtes de Genève finishing, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback.

The Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral is available now through authorized boutiques, with pricing marked at $7,900 on the hybrid strap and $8,400 on the steel bracelet.
