Liam Hemsworth’s ‘natural chemistry’ with Laura Dern in new Netflix rom com
AUSTRALIAN actor Liam Hemsworth has opened up on his close bond with co-star Laura Dern as the two get hot and steamy for their new Netflix film.
The Witcher actor Liam Hemsworth has revealed that he had no problems filming the steamy love scenes and passionate bedroom antics with co-star Laura Dern for their new film Lonely Planet.
The series focuses on Laura Dern as newly-single author Katherine Loewe who meets Owen Brophy, played by Liam, during a writer’s retreat in Morocco.
Owen has only attended alongside girlfriend Lily, who embarrasses him amongst their group of travellers, and quickly develops feelings for the reclusive older woman.
Netflix describes the film as: “At an idyllic writers retreat in Morocco, a newly single novelist finds an unexpected connection with a younger man who’s reevaluating his life choices.”
The film has been a hotly anticipated release for 2024, with lingering looks, stolen kisses and passionate sex scenes all part of the storyline.
Yet none of this presented a problem for Liam or Laura, as Ausse actor Liam revealed the pair had an ‘instant connection’.
Speaking to People, he explained: “It was weird. It felt like we’d known each other for a long time, and there was this instant trust there, and connection.
“And as we worked together, that just grew and evolved.”
He later added: “We got along and we never had to do any sort of work to find that relationship.
“We had this connection and it was sort of… what do you call it? Life imitating art or the other, art imitating life?”
Laura has been equally as full of admiration as Liam, as she described filming the Marrakesh based romance as it ‘felt like we were just walking around experiencing Morocco, hanging out as Laura and Liam, and someone was filming it somewhere’.
She added: “There was times when we were shooting in the Marrakesh markets where we couldn’t even see the camera.
“We’re literally just walking around and chatting to each other, and we were completely immersed in it.”
