Ariana Grande kisses SNL co-star as she makes shock prediction about US election

ARIANA Grande enjoyed a cheeky snog with her Saturday Night Live co-star before making a shock prediction about the US Election as she returned to front the NBC show.

The 7 Rings songstress, 31, looked sensational in her opening monologue as she arrived on-stage in a hot pink ballgown with a plunging neckline.

Ariana, who was recently forced to deny having Fox Eye surgery in a lie detector test, matched her frock to her high heels and pulled her blonde hair back in an up-do.

She opened her monologue about playing the role of Glinda the Good in Wicked The Movie before she made a bold political statement.

The star told the show: “The last time I hosted was in 2016 and we were right on the verge of electing our first female president [referring to Hillary Clinton, who in fact lost to Donald Trump] so I guess, second time’s a charm.”

The live studio audience then burst into a round of applause at her apparent endorsement of US Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, 59, with Ariana crossing her fingers as she waved her arms in the air.

Kamala will go head-to-head with former POTUS Donald Trump, 78, in November’s election.

Ariana then joked with the crowd she would “keep things low key” and “not about her” as she hosted – before bursting into song.

The Dangerous Woman hitmaker then left the crowd giggling with impressions of Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani.

Her SNL co-star Bowen Yang then appeared in Glinda’s Wicked dress before Ariana told him they had “cut the sketch.”

Yet the actor, 33, had his chance to shine later on.

A skit saw Ariana playing proud mum Diane, who was meeting her son’s new boyfriend, played by Bowen, for the first time.

Scenes show the family play a game of charades before things got heated and involved a physical altercation.

When the dust was settled, Ariana’s character said: “I need my son to have a man like you who will protect him because my son is so weak.”

Bowen then added: “I’m sorry things got so heated.”

Ariana’s character then left the audience screaming as she said: “It’s OK,” before pulling Bowen in for a kiss.

One fan was quick to exclaim on X: “Who else is doing it like her?! Incredible talent.”

Another posted: “Ariana is so talented! Great job tonight.”

A third then put: “Ariana’s monologue was hilarious! She always knows how to mix humour with her charm. Love her energy!”

Another mused: “Ariana Grande just endorsed Kamala Harris.”

Her live TV gig came after The Sun exclusively revealed Ariana’s plans for a UK tour following the first part of the Wicked movie’s release.

Ariana was also forced to clap back at trolls after they suggested her voice had “changed” in a recent podcast.
