Every 'Friday the 13th' Movie, Ranked (No. 1 Is a Sequel!)

Friday the 13th is one of the most enduring horror franchises in history.

The franchise centers around Jason Voorhees, a boy who was thought to have drowned at Camp Crystal Lake due to negligent camp counselors, who seemingly came back to life in order to exact his revenge.

After launching in 1980, the series has spawned over a dozen movies, novels and comic books, and the hockey mask-wearing killer is now one of the most iconic baddies in horror history.

The franchise has unfortunately experienced legal hell as of late due to disputes over ownership, so there hasn’t been a new addition to the film saga since the 2009 reboot. However, there are signs of new projects in the works, including a prequel TV series.
