Recreation 101: NIRSA goes back to basics with virtual courses

In the September 2024 issue of Athletic Business Magazine, writer Michael Popke catches up with two NIRSA volunteer leaders to talk about how NIRSA is helping newcomers to the profession establish a solid knowledge base of key campus recreation components through a series of ‘Recreation 101’ virtual courses.

Kayla Irlbeck, Coordinator of intramural sports at California State University, Sacramento and one of five instructors for the intramurals course and James Alexander, Assistant Director of Club Sports for Centers LLC at DePaul University and one of four instructors for the sport clubs course connect with AB Magazine to offer some perspective about the courses.
