'This is totally wrong': Anti-Trump conservatives troll Trump's upcoming NYC rally
Former President Donald Trump is planning to conclude his campaign with a huge rally in Madison Square Garden in New York City, an event that has drawn confusion for not being in a battleground state, and which has drawn comparisons to when Nazi supporters gathered at the same location in 1939.
But because the event doesn't appear to be charging for tickets, and instead handing them out only on a first-come, first-served basis, a pair of anti-Trump conservatives associated with the Lincoln Project had a lot of fun on Monday trolling the former president with a scheme to mess it all up.
"Here’s the signup link for Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden!" wrote attorney George Conway on X, providing the link. "Enjoy!"
"Oh no," said former GOP strategist Rick Wilson in response. "This is totally wrong to flood the zone on this. No one should do this."

"

The event is one of several taking place in solidly Democratic states that seem to serve little electoral purpose; another recent event brought Trump to Aurora, Colorado, where he obsessed over an internet hoax about Venezuelan gangs taking over the city.
