Wilson, 33, who was armed with a knife, seemed to slash at Officer Peter Liu – more than two minutes after he first knocked on the door.
She went for the officer just moments after opening the door.
Audio captured Liu, a 14-year veteran, saying “Jesus Christ” before he started retreating.
Wilson, a commercial real-estate manager, could be seen walking toward the officer as he pointed his weapon.
The officer repeatedly shouted, “Back up,” “Back up,” as he warned Wilson to stay where she was.
She held the weapon aloft as she refused to follow the cop’s order and continued walking toward him.
The footage was cut out before shots were fired, but the noise was caught in the audio.
Cops confirmed Wilson was struck three times.
Liu relayed the situation to his team, and blood was seen dripping from his head.
A plain-clothed officer was scrambled to the scene, and CPR was given.
Wilson was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
But police chiefs feared the injuries Liu suffered could’ve been worse.
“The slash, gash, and slash wound he received was at the top of his forehead,” Kevin Davis told reporters.
It emerged that cops had gone to Wilson’s home the day before the shooting, as reported by the CBS affiliate WUSA.
Health officials had previously reported Wilson to cops as she had been in an agitated state.
Fairfax Police officials confirmed Liu is on restricted-duty status.
Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Cops released an image of the knife as part of their probe, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police have launched a criminal investigation over the use of force.
