Topeka Renaissance Festival organizers plan big weekend announcement

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topekans are being invited to an event center this coming weekend to help celebrate a special announcement for next year's renaissance festival.

The Topeka Renaissance Festival announced in a press release that it will be issuing an official proclamation at noon on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Woodshed Event Center in north Topeka. Organizers for the event, alongside friends from the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, will be announcing new details for next year's renaissance festival which is due to happen from June 20-22.

People can expect to find between 40 and 70 vendors on site for the announcement. Vendors will be at the Woodshed Event Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the day of the announcement both inside and outside the center. There will also be a costume contest at 1 p.m. and "tricks & treats" for children.
