Two more arrests in connection with murder of Church Point man in Carencro
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Two men were arrested over the weekend and charged in the murder of a Church Point man in Carencro, authorities said.
Damien Doucette, 24, and Jerimiah Brown Jr., 21, both of Lafayette, are each charged with one count of first degree murder and four counts of attempted first degree murder in connection with the killing of Isaiah Sam, 22, of Church Point Oct. 5.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Oct. 5, on I-49 southbound between two vehicles.
Previously, Deandre Hypolite, 23, was arrested on warrants for principal to first-degree murder and four counts of principal to attempted first-degree murder in connection with this case.
Bond details were not released.
According to Carencro Police Chief David Anderson, detectives anticipate more arrests in this case in the near future.
