Kuki Inpi demands withdrawal of Manipur Police from Mongbung and Sejang Villages amid rising tensions

The Kuki Inpi Jiribam, Tamenglong & Noney (KIJTN) has demanded the withdrawal of Manipur State Police from Mongbung and Sejang Villages, citing dissatisfaction with the police's actions, including ransacking food provisions and involvement in violent incidents. KIJTN noted that tribal organizations have requested that any police deployment be limited to Meetei areas and that Central forces, if necessary, should be from the Assam Rifles.
