High school football rankings Week 8, 2024: Bay Area News Group Top 25
The top five remains the same, but that could change after arguably the two best teams in both the CCS and NCS play one another this upcoming Friday.
No. 1 De La Salle is playing host to No. 3 San Ramon Valley, and No. 5 St. Francis is traveling up to San Francisco to play at No. 4 St. Ignatius.
No. 7 Valley Christian continues to rise after it won its third consecutive WCAL game, routing a Riordan team that has tumbled out of the top 10.
Wilcox moves up two spots after defeating a ranked Menlo School squad in Atherton. The “other” Atherton team, Menlo-Atherton, actually moves up one spot despite a loss after giving No. 6 Los Gatos everything it could handle.
Welcome, Burlingame and Amador Valley, to the rankings. Burlingame has proven that its victory over Wilcox earlier in the season was no fluke and is now 5-1.
