Music star Jake E. Lee shot multiple times in Las Vegas while out walking his dog

OZZY Osbourne’s former guitarist Jake E. Lee has been ‘shot multiple times’ while walking his dog, according to reports.

Jake’s rep has said the 67-year-old musician was hit ‘at random’ while in Las Vegas, US, and is receiving treatment in intensive care.

Jake performed as Ozzy‘s lead guitarist for five years in the 1980s before moving on to several other bands.

His rep told Dailymail.com: “Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital.”

Jake is expected to make a full recovery and the incident is said to be under investigation by local police.

The Sun has contacted Jake’s reps for comment.

Jake performed alongside iconic rocker Ozzy from 1982 to 1987.

He began playing for Ozzy after being drafted in as a replacement for his guitarist Randy Rhodes, who had tragically died in a plane crash in 1981.

Jake was offered an audition after sending Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon a photograph and video of himself performing.

George Lynch, the guitarist for band Dokken, believed would snare the high profile job after he’d been called in to play at Ozzy’s sound checks.

However, Ozzy later offered it to Jake.

Speaking about the moment, Jake previously told Louder Sound: “I did feel bad but not as bad as I felt good. And at least I had an early experience of how Ozzy fires people.”

Aged 25 at the time, Jake – who enjoyed to party – added that he “sobered up” after witnessing Ozzy and ‘what he could become’.

At the height of his fame, Jake performed to a crowd of 60,000 fans when Ozzy headlined Monsters Of Rock music festival at Donnington Park in Derby.

But he claims he was fired out of the blue by Ozzy in 1987, just hours after he had enjoyed a friendly dinner with Sharon.

During his chat with Louder Sound in February this year, he confirmed he has never spoken to the couple again.

In the years that followed, Jake relaunched his career with metal band Badlands and also worked with Wicked Alliance, Bourgeois Pigs.

He later embarked on a successful solo career before forming the group Red Dragon Cartel.

According to his ex-Badlands bassist Greg Chaisson, Jake took a break from performing in 2019 due to carpal tunnel syndrome in his right wrist.

This year, however, he has toured the US with Red Dragon Cartel.
