Glenville woman arrested after wrong-way crash on Thruway
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Glenville woman has been arrested after she allegedly crashed into another car while driving the wrong-way on the Thruway. New York State Police said wrong-way driver Alexandria McCumber, 29, and the driver of the other car were seriously injured in the crash.
On October 12 around 1 a.m., State Police responded to the Thruway for reports of a wrong-way driver. Troopers soon found a two-car crash involving the wrong-way vehicle near exit 24 in Albany. The eastbound lanes of I-90 were closed between exit 25 and exit 24 for about four hours, said police.
Both McCumber and the other driver were brought to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. They were both listed in critical but stable condition. A passenger from the other car was also brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

- Reckless endangerment
- Driving while intoxicated
- Other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations
State Police said McCumber will be processed at a later time as she is still in the hospital. The investigation is ongoing and McCumber's charges may change.
