7/18/2024: Sunshine and warming weather!

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

High pressure in control across much of the eastern half of the country keeps us nice and bright and sunny for much of the week ahead, with steadily climbing temperatures.

After a chilly start, temperatures peak in the low to mid 60's across our region with almost nothing but sunshine overhead.

Tonight looks cool once again, with clear skies and light to calm winds allowing for patchy frost and some pockets of fog in the valleys by daybreak.

Tomorrow is even warmer, with another run of nothing but sun allowing temperatures to peak close to 70 across much of the region.

Sunday is similar, with another cool start and similar highs. Nights get more mild during the work week, with lows only in the 40's. Afternoon highs are warmer, too, in the mid 70's with only a few more clouds!

Chances expected late Wednesday, with rain late in the day and overnight. Cooler and breezy behind that system, with highs knocked back into the upper 50's.
