Jharkhand Assembly Polls: BJP to contest on 68 seats, AJSU 10, JDU 2 & LJP 1
The party is likely to field Independent MLA Saryu Roy from Jamshedpur West and former MLA Gopal Krishna Patar alias Raja Peter from Tamar assembly seat. Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest the Chatra seat, which is currently held by RJD MLA and state minister Satyanand Bhogta. In 2019, BJP contested the assembly election alone and won 25 seats. This year, the party has left some seats for the NDA partners to avoid a split of anti-government votes.
