EC orders removal of acting Jharkhand DGP ahead of assembly polls

The Election Commission has directed the removal of Acting Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta due to historical complaints during previous elections. The Jharkhand Assembly elections will occur in two phases, on November 13 and 20. A senior-most DGP-level officer will now take charge.
