'His brain is so broken': Trump labeled 'not well' after new verbal slip-up at town hall

Trump repeatedly insisted on Sunday that he has "no cognitive," failing to complete a sentence that was almost certainly intending to say he had no cognitive problem, leading to intense mockery online.

Trump over the weekend held a town hall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he delivered remarks while sitting. After that event, the 78-year-old former president was ridiculed for saying, "I'm not 80 and I'm not that close to 80," in the course of insulting President Joe Biden about his age.

But one other comment also stood out to onlookers and critics.

"I have no cognitive," Trump said at the Sunday event. "She might have a cognitive problem. There's no cognitive problem."

A few moments later, the ex-president again said, he's "got no cognitive," but again did not finish the complete sentence.

The slip-up was so eyebrow-raising that Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign quoted him on social media. The campaign later released a press release grilling Trump for the slip.

"Today Pennsylvanians got a firsthand look at why Donald Trump's handlers are canceling events and interviews: in a single town hall, he incoherently rambled that he has 'no cognitive' and appeared to forget his own age," said Harris-Walz 2024 spokesperson Sarafina Chitika. "The American people deserve a president who will fight tirelessly for them - not one too 'exhausted' to focus on anything but himself."
