Can smu win the acc?
This is incredible. SMU (6-1, 3-0) has already beaten Florida St, Louisville and Stanford in ACC conference play this season, and appears to have the inside track to playing Clemson in the ACC title game in December. Yeah, the Mustangs still have 5 conference games left --and anything can happen-- but frankly, their remaining games all look winnable to me. SMU still has Duke and Virginia on the road, and gets Pitt, BC and CAL at home. The Mustangs are currently playing at a much higher level than all of these teams (Yes, I'm aware that Pitt is currently ranked #22), with their only loss being an 18-15 setback to undefeated and #11 ranked BYU (7-0). Unless something really strange happens, the Mustangs should be playing in that ACC title game in December.
It's amazing what difference a year can make in college football. Especially when you have leadership that cares.
