WATCH: Mama Joy pushes away a boy’s poster to pose for TV cameras during Bafana match

It seems Mama Joy isn’t always as joyful as she might look after the superfan was captured by TV cameras pushing away a young fan and their poster.

The superfan, Joy Chauke, attended the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match between Bafana Bafana and Congo with 30,000 other fans and did something no one would ever have believed unless it was captured on camera.

A boy waving a poster featuring Bafana captain Ronwen Williams was seated next to Mama Joy, whose real name is Chauke, when the camera panned onto her.

The poster was blocking her face, she quickly pushed the boy’s poster down and out of her way so that viewers could get a better look at her famous face.

While South Africa went on to beat Congo 5-0, Mama Joy’s actions left a bitter taste in some of her fans’ mouths.

A clip of the scene has made its rounds on social media and most people are shocked by her behaviour towards the boy.

Along with the video X user @bhutikhens wrote: “This Mama Joy character gives narcissism a new meaning.”

While most people are not happy with what she did, there are in fact a few who defended her behaviour.

@K_Zaraki11 wrote: “Absolutely disgusting from an adult shame.”

While @TheMeekSA said: The aggression on her face shows that the name Mama Joy could be a facade.”

@BAWSE84 on the other hand defended her actions saying: “She’s at a bloody match and clearly u can see she’s anxious, there is no time for a child blocking her view as people we really like to look for things that are not there. She’s focused on a game even if it were my own child I would do the same when I’m focused.”

“That was disrespectful from whoever that was covering Mama Joy face with a placard,” wrote @eliotchauke1.
