'Trash behavior': Internet blasts J.D. Vance for 'supporting verbal abuse of poll workers'
Social media exploded on Saturday after Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) had a strange reaction to a story about a Trump voter who purportedly used vulgar language toward a poll worker.
The unverified tale from Reddit stated that a woman arrived at a polling location wearing a Trump shirt, and was told she couldn't vote while wearing political merchandise. According to the screenshot, which has now been removed from X, the woman said, "Suck my c---" and took off her shirt before voting in her bra.
Vance shared the post this weekend, writing, "What a patriot."

Onlookers were outraged.
Conservative Army Iraq War Veteran Peter Henlein responded directly to Vance, writing, "No, attacking poll workers for doing their jobs is not patriotic. And these rules have existed for decades in both blue and red states."
In a separate post, Henlein added, "Harassing poll workers for doing their job is low class trash behavior."
"Saying things like 'suck my c---' to poll workers is low class trash behavior. Sad to see JD Vance encouraging this," he said.
Julie Fredrickson, a former founder and current early-stage investor, said, "The conservative party vice presidential candidate retweeting a naked woman who said suck my c--- is objectively hilarious."
Travis Akers, a retired Naval Intelligence Officer and Newsweek opinion writer, asked, "What in the actual hell is wrong with you?"
Energy investor Christine Guerrero said, "Being rude to volunteers isn’t patriotism."
Parody account GOP Jesus joked, "All the best people, amirite? Family values and whatnot."
TV writer Steve Marmel pointed out that the "trending" bot on X said, "JD Vance Supports Verbal Abuse of Poll Workers."
The Dispatch, chimed in:
"If the situation were reversed and she was just as crude and gross but voting for Harris, obviously Vance wouldn’t call her a patriot, he’d do his usual demagogic horse----."
"But voting for Trump (and JD) is the only requirement for patriotism according to him," Goldberg added.
