Karnataka Cabinet decides to set up commission to advise on internal quota for SCs

The Cabinet has decided to establish a one-man commission to provide advice on implementing internal reservation for scheduled castes. The commission, led by a retired High Court judge, will offer recommendations within three months. All government recruitments are on hold until a decision is made. Some SC sub-castes have been advocating for horizontal reservations.
