THE exact date Aldi will start selling Paddington Bear soft toys that make perfect Christmas gifts has been revealed.

Everyone’s favourite marmalade-loving bear is arriving to Aldi’s Middle Aisle just in time for the release of the new film ‘Paddington in Peru’ – in cinemas from 8th November!

Hitting stores on the 7th November, shoppers will be able to pick up the adorable Paddington Plush for under £20, whilst stocks last.

Decked out in his iconic blue duffle coat, red hat and brown bag, this classic plush is perfect for snuggling at 55cm tall, and a must-have for collectors and Paddington fans of all ages.

At just £16.99, there’s even spending money left for a glass of Aldi’s Grandessa Fineor Thick Cut Marmalade for 79p!

However as with all Specialbuys once they’re gone, they’re gone, and these furry friends are sure to sell out faster than a jar of marmalade when Paddington is around, so shoppers better act fast!

It comes after the announcement that Sally Hawkins who plays Mrs Brown in Paddington will not be re-joining the cast for the third movie.

The actress said she felt it was time to hand over the reigns to someone else.

However, it seems she didn’t take the decision lightly as Sally told Variety: “I already greatly miss my on and off-screen family – the experience of making the first two films has truly been some of the best and most creative times I have had in the world of film.

“They both gave me so much joy.

“I will forever hold them so very close to my heart indeed.”

Instead, Emily Mortimer will play Mrs Brown for the third film.

Speaking about her replacement, Sally said: “For me it has felt the right time to hand the reins over to another, and one can’t get much better than the truly wonderful Emily Mortimer, she is extraordinarily special.

“She will embody the essence of Mary Brown and yet make it utterly her own.

“However, I am, and will always be in love with Paddington’s world.”

Paddington in Peru will be released in UK cinemas on November 8, 2024 and in US cinemas on January 17, 2025.

June 2024 saw the first trailer released to the public.

The synopsis reads: “Paddington and his adopted family, the Browns, decide to visit his aunt Lucy in Peru, but circumstances lead them towards misadventures in the Amazon rainforest and mountains of Peru.”
