Ronnie Fieg’s Kith Is Collaborating on These New Balance Sneakers for the First Time
After releasing two Madison Square Garden-themed sneaker collaborations in November 2023, Ronnie Fieg’s Kith and New Balance are reuniting to work on a new set of sneakers inspired by the iconic arena.
This time, Kith has redesigned two models it has never worked on before: the made-in-UK 991v2 lifestyle shoe and two colorways of the Numeric 480 skateboarding sneaker.
The Kith x New Balance 991v2 sees the premium England-made sneaker covered in a light gray mesh and suede with dashes of orange and blue on the branding, which includes a “Kith” wordmark at the heel in place of the shoe’s usual 991v2 designation. Kith branding is also seen on the lace dubrae, while Madison Square Garden branding is hidden on the insole. Multiple shoelaces are packaged with the pair including a speckled reflective option.
For the Kith x New Balance Numeric 480, the New York-based retailer created two versions of the skate shoe. One features a mesh base, while the other uses suede, and both pairs use leather overlays. The suede-based version includes an added layer of branding with a Kith monogram logo debossed on its “N” branding. Meanwhile, the mesh version makes use of perforated leather on the “N” logo and collar.
’23’s MSG-inspired collab saw Kith release two versions of the New Balance 990v6 sneaker. One took on the colors of the New York Knicks, while the other sought hockey inspiration with a New York Rangers palette.
Each sneaker in the 2024 Kith x New Balance “Madison Square Garden” collection will be released Monday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. ET. The Numeric 480 styles will be available from all Kith stores and kith.com for a retail price of $120, while the 991v2 will be released exclusively from US Kith stores, kith.com and the Kith app for $250.
