Teen, 19, killed & SIX injured in horror late-night crash in Cornwall as man, 18, is arrested over ‘dangerous driving’
A 19-year-old man has been killed, and six other people injured, in a horror late-night crash – with an 18-year-old arrested for dangerous driving.
The collision, which took place late on Friday night, involved two cars at a quiet crossroads in St Tudy, Cornwall.
The teen, who was in the front passenger seat of one of the cars, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, where police, ambulance and fire services were present.
Six other people were taken to hospital following the incident.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Devon and Cornwall police say the teen suspect, from Bodmin, has been arrested on suspicion of driving while on drink or drugs.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The road was closed while officers investigated the scene but was reopened on Saturday, the following day.
