Strictly fans voice concerns for pro dancer and beg ‘please get checked out’
STRICTLY fans have voiced concerns for a pro dancer and begged ‘please get checked out’.
Saturday saw the BBC One dancing competition air its first ever Icons Week.
Strictly fans have voiced their concern for pro dancer Aljaz Skorjanec[/caption] Aljaz and celebrity partner Tasha Ghouri performed a high energy Couple’s Choice routine during Icons Week[/caption]The celebrities paid tribute to the likes of The Beatles, Taylor Swift and Whitney Houston with their performances, while the judges were also dressed up like pop icons.
Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri danced to Pink‘s What About Us? alongside pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
Their powerful Couple’s Choice routine saw them dancing barefoot and leaping around the dance floor, with incredible lifts in the mix too.
Once it was finished, they received a standing ovation from the studio audience, but both struggled for breath as host Tess Daly started to speak to them.
Aljaz, 34, – who returned this series after a two year absence – seemed particularly out of breath, with his heavy breathing being picked up by the microphone he was wearing.
It caused alarm for some Strictly viewers watching at home, with one tweeting on X: “Aljaz you need to get checked out for that shortness of breath, love.”
Another added: “Bit worried about Aljaz’s breathing… do a Covid test, please” alongside a sad face emoji.
A third wrote: “Crikey! Aljaž needs to knock Strictly on the head if it’s affecting his breathing that badly.”
It was no wonder Aljaz was out of breath after such an energetic routine, and some viewers saw a more humorous and somewhat cheeky side to the handsome dancer’s loud noises.
One wrote: “Sound people not turning Aljaz mic off and just the constant heavy breathing has sent me.”
Another tweeted: “Aljaz with all the heavy breathing, yes I’m recording it…” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.
A fellow viewer agreed, writing: “I’ll never be able to forget Aljaz’s sex breath tbh.”
Meanwhile a fourth commented: “I’m crying that dance almost killed Alijaz, bro is breathing SO LOUD.”
All their hard work paid off the the pair received a whopping 39 points from the judges, placing them joint top of the leaderboard alongside JB Gill and pro partner Lauren Oakley.
