Tyrrhenian Sea and Tuscany Illuminated by the Moon

Photographer: Egidio Vergani Summary Author: Egidio Vergani Shown here is the Moon's reflection off the Tyrrhenian Sea as observed on the night of June 17, 2024. The city lights of Carrara are easily visible (bottom center) as are lights from Marina di Carrara and Marina di Massa (lower center). Note that white marble quarries in the Apuan Alps (foreground) remain illuminated even at night.
