City centre pubs

Just fixed a date for a Christmas afternoon/evening pub crawl with mates- all old duffers like myself . Any suggestions for a circuit of six or seven of Brum's finest pubs (to include the Wellington) would be very welcome. Don't forget that, come the evening, there'll be a few flagging, so need to be realistic about the distances between the last few bars. No Wetherspoons - I've got nothing against them personally, but one or two can't stand them.
