100 years ago today?

Question mark because I haven't confirmed this, but a mate of mine has posted a screenshot on WhatsApp of a newspaper article (can't see a date on it though) about a baseball match held at St Andrews -supposedly 5/11/1924 - between the New York Giants and Chicago White Sox, the White Sox running out 9-6 winners

Anyone know anything about this. A (very) quick google hasn't thrown up any results.
